Finally, an ACTUAL leak proof toddler cup! This cup is easy to clean too. To get water out of the straw your child must bite down on the straw to allow water flow. The only reason this isn’t a 5 star rating is because this cup’s base is too large for a car seat. I also wish the hook would fully close so I could hang it from a backpack when we’re out and about. Hopefully the company can make these adjustments in the future.Very sturdy cup that hasn’t cracked or leaked yet! The one issue is that it’s hard for my 2.5 year old to open or shut it to cover the straw. She likes to chew on the straw even though I tell her it’ll poke a hole. So far it’s held up!We first got one when my son was about 8 months old. It's been great. He could use it easily and it did NOT leak. Now, if there is a temperature difference then some might come out of the top, but that can't be avoided. My son is now almost 19 months and has thrown this cup every day. I've bought another one because it's so good and holds up to his little caveman-self. I love that the top twists to tuck away the straw. My son caught on to that very quickly and had no issues twisting it open or closed himself. Cleaning it isn't all that great though. 4 pieces, the cup, the twist top, the top that screws on, the outside straw/mouth piece, and the inside straw. We wash it by hand. While cleaning is a pain, it's the trade off you get for a good toddler cup. We love it.Just got this cup today. My godson is 2 and needed a cup with a straw to help with speech therapy. My only complaint is the straw valve does not open when lips touch it like advertised. Even I couldn't drink from it and I'm 40. My godson got frustrated because he couldn't get anything. I got a knife and stuck it in the tip of the straw slightly. I heard some pressure release and now it works awesome. Still doesn't leak but he can drink easily now. I would recommend a change in the straw design. Aside from that it's a good cup.Our favoriteI’ve gone through a dozen different sippy cups and this is the only one that NEVER leaks. Ever. Not once. I’d feel comfortable filling this with tomato or grape juice and letting my toddler drink it on a white carpet.I got rid of my other cups and bought 6 of these. It’s super easy to clean too!Very helpful bottle if you have a toddler. Leak proofIt’s easy to clean. Leak proof. Fits in side pocket of diaper bag. Holds good amount of water. Easy to drink from it for my infantthe straw fitted has a valve that makes it very difficult to drink from. bought this for my daughter as a friend had the older version and it was very hardy and leakproof but the difficulty in drinking from the bottle with this straw rendered it virtually useless. sorry, but OXO needs to bring back the older versionDoesn’t work. What was wrong with the old oxo straw cup, why did they have to change it!Absolutely useless. It’s not leaking but no water coming out to drink either. Why did they stop making the old one?It seemed ok until we found that we could not use the straw as it was impossible to suck through it. You could blow through it however and we think the value was put in upside down.Easy to open for my toddler, doesn't squirt everywhere when you open it like some others. Easy to wash and put back together.
