I've only been using this for a day, but will update this review later on.Filter:Wow the filter is excellent at removing foul tastes from tap water. I live in a city with a lake fed water supply, and late summer algae blooms in the lake make the water taste terrible. It's allegedly hard to get rid of the compounds in the water from the algae blooms that cause the bad taste and odor, but this filter performs flawlessly. That said, the large filter on my refrigerator performs this task just as well, but anecdotes I've seen about our city's water quality imply that a Brita isn't fully able to eliminate the algae issues.Leakage:I filled up the bottle, turned it upside down, and no water leaks out. Time will tell if it continues to hold up in this regard, but so far so good. I hope it will remain leak proof as I would normally be carrying this in a sling bag and a messenger bag, which would both hold the bottle at angles that would probably cause leakage.Capacity:As mentioned in most reviews, you cannot drink all of the water due to the design of the filter. You're left with 4-6oz of inaccessible water, depending on how you have the filter oriented and the bottle angle (I'm still experimenting on which way is best). This would be less of an issue if the filter only had the opening on the bottom instead of the sides, but I assume this is a design trade off for maximizing filter effectiveness and reducing the pressure needed to draw water through it. I'm ok with the compromises made here, but you might want one of the 48oz bottles instead if capacity is a concern for you. Also note that the 32oz rated capacity includes the filter displacement, so subtracting 4oz of inaccessible water, you can get 28oz of drinkable water per fill.Side note, if you have a Nalgene / Guyout stainless 38oz bottle and are curious if the lid from the Epic Nalgene bottle fits, it does fit, but it also does not seal well enough and will leak. You might be able to really crank it down to get it to seal up, but I didn't want to damage the threads.UPDATE: I used this for a week on vacation for all drinking water in Orlando at a hotel and in the theme parks. If you're familiar with the water in this area, it has a strong sulfur taste and smell, but this filter eliminated it completely. I also had zero issues with the lid leaking, and all in all this bottle / filter performed flawlessly for me all week long. The only con to this bottle is that you can't filter water for others with it.UPDATE 2: I liked the 32oz so much that I ended up getting a 48oz as well. Still no issues with leaking with either of them.UPDATE 3: The new filter design allows you to drink almost all of the water with no trouble, nice! I'm two years in on two of these bottles, still working great, still no leaks.
